ETC Press is an international collaboration between two women: a German and an American. Daniela Deeg works as an independent printmaker and book artist, as well as an art director in Ludwigsburg, Germany. Cynthia Delaney Lollis is a professor of printmaking and book arts at the Savannah College of Art and Design Atlanta.

Not only are the differences between their two languages addressed in all of their collaborative work, but also the differences, and sometimes surprisingly the similarities, of their cultural touchstones. They often travel together while working on books, to gather images and absorb the character of countries other than their own: where they are outsiders together.

ETC Press’ work has been exhibited internationally, including a recent two-person exhibition at Galerie DRUCK & BUCH, Tübingen, GERMANY and The Boston Printmakers 2011 North American Print Biennial juried by artist, Jim Dine. The Biennial juror selected their book, Risk.Risiko, for the Boston Printmakers Purchase Prize, and placed in the Boston Public Library Special Collections.

Collectors of their books and prints are museums, national libraries, academic libraries, and private libraries in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Poland, South Africa, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the USA. Among other publications, Lollis and Deeg’s collaborative work claim a chapter in the book, Masters: Book Arts: Major Works by Leading Artists.
